if you are looking to host a private function, and need a building to suit, Stanthorpe Showgrounds has the bar, bar area or beer garden that will suit your needs. NOTE: We consider parties on a case by case basis and generally don't allow 18ths or 21sts.

LAURIE HARVEY (LIONS) MAIN BAR

The Stanthorpe Showgrounds Laurie Harvey (LIONS) main bar is of a similar age and construction to the tea pavilion. Recent renovations by the Stanthorpe LIONS group have given it that relaxed country atmosphere and it now serves as the perfect place to have an informal BBQ dinner and get together. This facility also provides luncheons at the livestock sales and can serve as an accompanying bar facility to the nearby Sheep and Wool pavilion.

The Laurie Harvey (LIONS) main bar undercover open area measures approx. 10 metres x 10 metres = 100 square metres. Additional undercover area can be extended through the use of marquees.

The capacity of the Laurie Harvey (LIONS) main bar is:

approx. 100 people sitting
approx. 200 people standing.

CAN BAR AND BEER GARDEN

All that is old is new again. The Society is proud to have a new bar in our midst. The yellow and red XXXX can bar has been replaced with a new bar facility that now has the same look and feel as other bars on the grounds. Sitting amid a fabulous beer garden this is the perfect facility for an outdoor private function.

The 'new look' Can Bar has an immediate under cover area around the bar counter tops, and this under cover area could be extended through the use of marquees.

The capacity of the adjoining beer garden is:

approx. 200 people sitting
approx. 500 people standing.

STOCKMAN'S ARENA BAR AND CANTEEN

The Stanthorpe Showgrounds Stockman's Bar and Canteen is a recent addition to the facilities available for hire at Stanthorpe Showgrounds. Recent renovations by the Stanthorpe Agricultural Society's campdraft and rodeo subcommittee have given it that relaxed rural atmosphere and it now serves as the perfect place to have an informal BBQ dinner and get together. Sitting atop the Spectator's Hill overlooking the spectacular Stockman's Arena, this facility is the perfect venue to host bar and catering activities as part of a larger event using the arena.
